  1. Hello. Chat, chat, chat. šŸ™‚

    1. Good morning caredoe and all members. I have responded on the wrong place and I am confused.Who is the manager of this group? I seem to have my wires crossed. Is caredoe a lady or a man? I would like to know. I am writing a series of short stories about my families struggle during those terrible depression years. I have it almost finished. The title is: “Mo and Me and the Morning Tree”. I can post a sample of a few chapters.

      1. Hi Helen, I am Caredoe, aka Carol Carroll. I’m a sixty-four-year old wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, member of a big, extended family, and enjoy many friends. I am also, amoung other things, a writer. I love writing and sharing that obsession with other writers. So here we are at Writers Web Friends blogsite!

We would love to read Mo and Me and the Morning Tree. Click on “Sharing What We Write” at the top of this page. Then scroll down to the bottom reply box and post there. If the chapters are long, please post one at a time in the replies. Thank you, Carol

  2. I’m here!

  3. I’m just getting started on another long night… LOL! I’ve been working real hard trying to finish The Master’s Touch before November. I’d like to be able to try to participate in NANOWRIMO this year. Is anyone else here going to try it?

    1. The Master’s Touch, now that’s an interesting title. What’s it all about, Dat?
We’d like to have a sample, to see what you’re working on. There’s a page here to share what we write. Hint!

I’ve never gotten involved with NANOWRIMO. It seems I always have other things going.

    2. Hi Gloria – great to see you here. Sounds like you are busy writing away. Can we have a sample of The Master’s Touch? I am revisiting some of my old stories, tweaking, etc, but nothing near so grand as NANO. Girl, you are impressing me!

  4. I just finished Lust, Money, & Murder book 1 by Mike Wells. Iā€™m hooked, have to read book 2 and 3 now. Good read! http://www.smashwords.com/extreader/read/66812/4/lust-money-murder-book-1-lust

I’d love to hear what you think of it.

    1. It’s not hard to find. You will need to sign up for an account, but it’s real simple. Then you can check out lots of ebooks, most have free samples. Some are free to read the whole thing.

    2. Okay, will try again. I didn’t see any free sample of your story though and I currently don’t have a credit card to purchase anything on line (can you say snafu bad??). Anyway, as soon as that lil issue has been resolved I will be downloading your book, Caredoe. I can’t wait to read it.

      1. Okay, found how to read the free sample. Wheeee!!!

  7. Helen, I moved your latest article to the ‘Sharing What We Write’ page, so it’s easier for people to find.
    Carol

    1. Thanks caredoe, Please feel free to critique my writings. I am very rusty after being on a hiatus for years.

  8. I had the privilege of reading Inclusive Death sometime back while Carol was fine tuning. It is a really good read and I know all of you will really enjoy it. I certainly did! Good luck to my friend, Carol, the author!

    1. Ah, Sunny, one of the best things about joining Eons years ago was meeting you and I’m proud to call you my friend. You are very special to me.
      Always, Carol

  9. For anyone wanting to market self-published ebooks this is a must read.

  10. I’ve been absent for a few, just wanted to check in and say I’m still around and still happy to have this site. I actually lost the link for this one, still had the one for your first site, Caredoe and I didn’t keep the emails. Aaargh. Finally did an undelete on emails, got them back, and bookmarked this site and took away the other bookmark.

  11. Carol and I have been writing buddies and good friends for several years now, having met on Eons Writing Site. It has been truly a blessing to know this lady. Let me tell you something about this ‘author.’ Several years ago I was writing a story entitled “Red Fox Farm.” It took place in the early 1900s in Cades Cove, Tn. (now a part of the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. My lead character lived on a small farm in the cove. One day I got an email from Carol with a picture of one of the old homes built many years ago in the cove and perserved by the National Park. On the old fence hung a sign – “Red Fox Farm.” I nearly fell out of the chair when I saw it. Carol and her hubby were visiting family near Cades Cove. They had driven out one day and Carol hung this sign (they had made) and sent it to me. I used that picture in my story. Carol will never know what this simple gesture meant to me. I love her dearly.

    1. That was back in 2008, Sunny. Let’s see if I can post the picture here. šŸ™‚

I’ve cropped this three times already! This is good enough.

  12. Oh,my gosh – I just received Carol’s book, “Inconclusive Death” in the mail and I am so excited. Carol, my dear friend, how proud I am of you and can’t wait to read the finished product! Congratulations on this great achievement!
